When I joined Sears Canada in 2017, many asked me why. I mentioned that when one is backed into a corner, one has to learn how to take the blows and come out swinging. I saw the company was taking risks and trying new strategies. This challenge was what I saw and sought. The direction came from the trend and marketing teams that certain categories were going to be the focus: fashion and makeup.
